The Grandmaster : Meilleur film au 8e Asian Films Awards

Le 27 mars avait lieu la 8e cérémonie des Asian Films Awards, un équivalent des Oscars pour l’ensemble des pays asiatiques. 

Le dernier film de Wong Kar-Wai, The Grandmaster, est le film qui s’est le plus illustré remportant les prix du Meilleur Film; Meilleure Réalisation; Meilleure Direction photo; Meilleure Direction artistique; et Meilleure costumes. Zhang Ziyi (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) a également remporté le prix de la meilleure actrice pour son rôle dans The Grandmaster.

À mon avis, ce film aurait dû être nominé aux Oscars comme Meilleur film étranger (il faisait partie de la courte liste de 9 films mais n’a pas été retenu pour les cinq nominations) et remporter la statuette. Il était néanmoins nominé pour sa direction photo mais aussi sublime était la direction photo de The Grandmaster, Gravity dominait cette catégorie.

Ce film de Hong Kong a été un succès international, c’est l’un des rares films asiatiques que j’ai vu prendre l’affiche au cinéma à Montréal cette année et il est disponible en ce moment sur Netflix aux États-Unis. Pour y avoir accès, c’est vraiment tout simple, il suffit d’installer l’extension de Google Chrome suivante : Hola.
